More than a decade has passed since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, aka the couple everyone wishes to come back, called it quits. However, persistent rumors still hound them to this day, including speculations on what could have happened had the two not broken up or had Angelina Jolie not entered the picture.
Reason of Breakup
It’s really unclear why the ‘World War Z’ star and the ‘Friends’ actress’ marriage didn’t last but many point to the ‘Maleficent’ thespian as the reason behind the controversial split. Then, some fans put the blame on Jennifer, who allegedly didn’t want to have kids with Brad – hence, the breakup.
However, Jennifer has previously addressed the issue and clapped back at those who started the speculations, saying she believes it was the right time to start a family. She further explained in 2004 that she can work and do a lot of things even when she’s pregnant and that she was ‘looking forward’ to slowing the pace.
While ‘The Morning Show’ star didn’t give a specific deadline or timetable on when she would want to get pregnant, people assumed that it wouldn’t take long before she debuts her baby bump. Plus, Jennifer also explained that she was nearing filming ‘Friends’ while her husband was wrapping things up in the production of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith.’
Things Didn’t Go According to Plan
As everyone would know by now, Jennifer and Brad didn’t have any kids – in fact, they called it quits in 2005. Later that year, he struck up a romance with his ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ partner, Angelina, who many people see as the reason for the divorce of the former love birds.
Brad went on to have six kids with his now-ex-wife Angelina. Jennifer, meanwhile, tied the knot with Justin Theroux in 2015 but they decided to go their separate ways two years later.
Apparently, Brad and Jennifer were more serious about starting a family when they were together, an insider claims. The source went on to say to an outlet that there were already plans of adding a playroom in the house and a room for the nanny.
Jennifer’s Plan to Have Kids
In 2008, she reiterated that she wanted a child, explaining that rumors about her lack of desire to have one with Brad were irritating. Jennifer pointed out some of the big names in the industry who are pros in juggling kids and their careers.
However, in 2018, Jennifer seemed to have sung a different tune when she admitted that starting a family was a ‘frightening’ thought. Then, she explained that her role in life probably ‘isn’t to procreate.’
