The action-adventure game came from Rockstar North and Rockstar Games in 2002. As the fourth installment in the esteemed Grand Theft Auto series and the sixth overall, this iconic gem swiftly claimed the title of the best-selling video game of that year, surpassing a staggering 17.5 million copies sold.
It garnered numerous “Game of the Year” awards from esteemed gaming publications. It premiered on October 29, 2002, in North America and November 8 in Europe for PlayStation 2. Capcom later published the game in Japan on May 20, 2004, for PlayStation 2 and Windows.
